Audubon’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity. Audubon Foundation of Texas (AFT) is a non-profit established to support Audubon Texas, Audubon Centers and Sanctuaries in Texas and the affiliated Audubon local chapters.
- Audubon Texas is the state office of the National Audubon Society.
- Audubon Centers and Sanctuaries are the heart of Audubon’s wildlife and environmental education programs as well as serving as urban preserves.
- Audubon local chapters are non-profits affiliated with the National Audubon Society where National and local members join together to promote the environment by participation in birding, conservation, and public education activities. Many local chapters manage independent sanctuaries and education programs for their communities. Chapters also support other environmental organizations in their communities.
