Birding Magic for Young Explorers!
Thanks to the generous support of H-E-B, young birders in our community are getting a closer look at the wonders of nature.
With an AFT grant funded by H-E-B, Rio Brazos Audubon was able to purchase 16 pairs of Vortex Bantam binoculars—perfectly sized for small hands and eager eyes. These binoculars have already made a huge impact, helping kids spot and identify their first birds with ease.
The laminated field guides, purchased with H-E-B gift cards, are also a hit—helping families and young birders learn more about the feathered friends they discover.
A recent Birding 101 session had kids spotting:

American Robin
Northern Cardinal
… and more!
These amazing resources will continue to be used in upcoming bird walks, homeschool co-op events, and afterschool nature clubs.
